Back to the Classics

Writing regularly removes one very important part of my life: the time to pleasure read at will. I read at least one book a month that has nothing to do with work, but that often times ends up being the monthly book club choice, which I may or may not like. So, it’s time for a switch up of sorts.

I’ve decided I’m doing something different – I’m going back to the Classics. Every month I’ll pick off my bookshelf a book from the past that I loved, and read it again. Because the Classics are important to never forget, but also they have the ability to feed the brain with the past in a unique way only they can. It’s Literary History, folks, and you just can’t go wrong there.

For October, I’ll delve back into Harper Lee’s, To Kill A Mockingbird. Why? Because for some reason I just keep thinking about this book and sort of miss it. Perhaps I’m at an age where the advice of the wise Atticus Finch would be beneficial again?

“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… Until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”

Truth, Mr. Atticus Finch…Truth.

The Dry Lands

Have you read The Dry Lands, the first Hutch & A’ris book? It’s not a YA or a Urban Fantasy like The Station and the Find Me books, so it’s different, yes, but worth your time…

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000038_00071]

Some secrets are worth keeping, and others are worth dying for.

A runaway princess on a mission and a mysterious traveler become an unlikely pair when the two cross paths in the unforgiving Dry Lands. As an underground movement struggles to overthrow the Dark King, an old prophecy threatens to change the future, an act that could unleash answers to some of the planet’s most dangerous secrets. Answers the people aren’t ready for. Together, the fiery red-head, A’ris Brynx and the rugged Krane Hutch, must do one thing – survive the lies, betrayals, consequences and…each other.

This Fantasy Sci-Fi tale is set on the faraway planet of Ernoth. With gypsies wandering the deserts, royalty challenged by a prophecy, assassins on the hunt, plagues and mysteries questioned, this full-length novel takes readers on a never-ending journey of emotions and adventure.

Find The Dry Lands on Amazon. You don’t need a Kindle, either. You can download the FREE KINDLE APP for your smartphone or computer and start reading this book today. 🙂
