One of the best things about being an Indie writer is that I can update my files whenever I want, or whenever they need it.
THE DRY LANDS was published two years ago, and even though the few who have read it loved it, it didn’t do well in the genre I originally marketed it for – Science Fiction. I’m not a hardcore Sci-Fi writer, but there are elements of that genre in all of my books. TDL had the most, so I thought it would work well there. Pfft. I tried.
Because I love this story so much, and I want everyone to read it, last year I decided to revamp the entire book from the inside out and put it into the niche I’ve been carving into the writing world: YA Fantasy. But it’s not all YA. There’s action, mystery, romance, suspense, science fiction (hover cars, y’all, hover cars), fantasy…basically everything. Plus, there’s Riot. If you don’t know who he is, grab the book. Riot is adorable. Hutch is hot, and A’ris is a kick-ass young lady.
So…skip ahead to this week…the results of this project overhaul are in. SCORE!
Check out this new beautimus cover made by Elizabeth Mackey Graphic Design. Doesn’t it scream ‘I’M SO BEAUTIFUL – YOU MUST READ ME!’. If you do, come back and tell me what you think. *bites nails and waits patiently*
