Find Me Series

The Find Me Series is an Urban/Dystopian Fantasy with Romance, Action, and a dash of Paranormal. The story follows the anti-heroine, Riley, as she comes to terms with a world devastated by a global pandemic. The first book in this series is FREE for all eReading devices. There are three books in the Find Me Series:

  • I Hope You Find Me
  • Lost and Found
  • Finding Hope
  • Where Hope is Lost (Coming Soon)

Life for Riley ends when her young children die in her arms…victims of a global viral outbreak that claims the lives of everyone she’s ever known. Left to fend for herself with only a dog as her companion, she sets out on a journey to find others, leaving notes everywhere she goes…hoping that one day someone will come looking for her. When Riley meets the handsome yet mysterious Connor on the streets of Downtown San Diego, they form a bond unlike either has experienced before. When the things that go bump in the night turn out to be more than nightmares, the trio sets off for the mountains in search of an isolated resort where they can hunker down, away from the ominous shadows of the dead city streets. The peace and tranquility of the woods isn’t enough to keep the darkness away for long though and soon Riley and Connor are forced to accept that the World and the few people left alive in it will never be the same. The shadows of their past may haunt them forever…threatening to destroy what little dreams they have left of a future unless they fight to stay in the light and never lose their hope.

Family and Friends: The dog and I have left to find my Mom. Most of you know where her place is, the corner of 9th and F. I’ll leave a note there before I move on. Everyone here is…gone. I can’t stay. I’m not sure when or if I will come back here but leave a message anyway.
I hope you find me. – Riley

Trish, I really like your writing so much but I find the incorrect grammar and word substitutions distracting, ie, “conscious”, consistently used when the correct context begs for “conscience”‘. “Less people”, when “fewer” is correct. Do you rely on Spellchecker, which often misleads unless one also checks Spellchecker! I wish I could proofread your final draft before it goes to the printer. If your editor does not have the skills, then he or she is giving you poor backup. Nevertheless, I look forward eagerly to the third installment of the “Find Me” series.

I stumbled upon Dying To Forget one day while checking out a list of Amazon’s free books. Just a short hour into it, I knew I needed Dying To Remember, so I downloaded it, and I Hope You Find Me. Piper and Riley are two of my most favorite characters ever. I can not wait for each of their journeys to continue.

Hi Trish… I decided to try the find me series while waiting for the next Station book. Both series are very different and I loved them both. Strong characters. Glad I did try the Dind Me series, I liked it just as much as the Station. How much can poor Riley take. You had to sit back thinking, what can I throw at this poor woman now, see if she can survive it. I probably shouldn’t looked at the part after book 3 ended, now I’m really wondering …about our group, and how long of a wait do we have for book 4?

I love books that make me feel… I don’t know how many times during the last two books I cried.

If they’re all coming down with the Red Death, who are you going to write about? Riley and a new group and a new love? I loved all three Find me books, but hated that last part which I guess is a prelude to your 4th book. I don’t know if I even want to read it. I’m sorry, but you broke my heart there at the ending or is it the beginning of the 4th book? I guess I’ll have to read it to find out, won’t I? You really are a wonderful writer

I’m looking forward to your 4th book. I like surprises, but Conner was a bad surprise. Can you bring him back to life…. Lol? That would be a good surprise! But a new man or save, was it Blake? I have a bad memory sometimes, but they seemed to really have a great time together! If you can, let me know when it comes out. You know I’m hooked…. Lol

I stumbled upon your first book in the find me series. Bought the 2 and 3. Stayed up all night reading them, was totally shocked by the preview for the 4th. I don’t normally read post-apocalyptic stories but really got into this book and series. I did not expect some of the twists and turns in book 2 and 3, but in the preview for book 4 you basically said no one would survive round 2 of the red death. If that is the case why should I read it? I don’t care how they die. I want to know a happy ending and if post- apocalyptic books don’t have those, I guess I know why I’ve stayed away from them. You never explained how round two started, how did Jacks baby seem to survive in book 3? And still be sick in book 4 when adults are dying? Why kill off all of Riley’s love interests? Is this about suffering through the unimaginable and still coming out on top? I’m an adult reading this and this was said to be a young adult fiction. Is this supposed to give young people hope? Because as an adult you never get over loosing a child, or a parent, or someone you loved as a spouse. And Riley seemed to move on so easily to Drake not without a struggle of conscience. But in real life there would have been no way she would have gotten on that plane. She sacrificed so much for someone she barely knew but wouldn’t go look for the man she loved? Also the way Drake felt about her no way he would have doubted her especially after los Angeles. And the story was very choppy when Riley was kicked out. There is no way they could have gotten her out without the others knowledge. Connor would not have just fallen into the arms of another woman. Connor would have said Riley’s name in delirium. The new woman would have known exactly who Riley was and would have been instantly jealous if not territorial. This was a series I couldn’t stop reading but looking back there are some obvious flaws. This is all about Riley’s big heart and how much she cares but there are inconsistencies that don’t make sense. I will definitely read the fourth book but am not really looking forward to it, since reading the preview. I don’t know if that makes any sense at at all.

Hi Tracy, thank you for reading and leaving your comment. 🙂 Though I have not fully written the 4th book yet, I don’t plan on it being the final book. To avoid spoilers, I’ll simply say – things are not always what they seem. 😉 You are definitely right, the story does center around Riley and her choices, which aren’t always favorable. For those who have read books 1- 3, I do think they will be happy with the plot and the ups and downs to come. But like I said, there be spoilers! lol If YA is your genre, my Station series is YA Fantasy, but the Find Me Books are adult Dystopian, so that might be why you were wondering about the content of this book fitting with YA. When I begin working full time on this again, I will post snippets and updates here, so I hope you do return to read those! Have a great week, and thanks again for reaching out! – Trish

I honestly love your imperfect characters… if book characters are too saintly, I get irritated. I too, am not thrilled by the ending of three, but know that you love to keep us on the edge of our seats. I truly cannot wait for ALL the books you’re working on to come out… 😛
